The number of Chinese tourists visiting Greece this year is expected to rise by more than 50 percent, Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura told the AMNA News Agency on Tuesday.
This year's hike comes after a 35 percent rise in Chinese tourists visiting Greece last year.
"We are giving a large emphasis on the tourism market of China. We support the European Union-China tourism year and are taking advantage of the common European operational framework for the boosting of new Greek products, the promoting of their competitive advantages and the promotion of Greece as a top destination that offers unique travel experiences 365 days a year," said the minister.
