Rallies for the Hellenicity of Macedonia to be held in 25 Greek cities

A message to the government not to reach an agreement with FYROM, including one with a name containing the term "Macedonia" and a simultaneous recognition of "Macedonian" national identity and language, is what "Committee for the Struggle for Macedonian Hellenicity" At the local rallies that will take place today at 19:30 in northern Greece.
Twenty five cities will hold rallies will reach 25. "Committee for the Struggle" consulted local Municipal Authorities which supported the effort from the beginning. The cities where demonstrations will be held to defend the term "Macedonia" are: Pella, Kavala, Drama, Serres, Kilkis, Polykastro, Lagadas, Nea Moudania, Edessa, Florina, Kastoria, Ptolemaida, Katerini, Veria, Siatista, Larissa, Thiva, Ioannina, Rhodes, Chania, Corfu and Chalkida.
The organizers' ambition is to remind the government of the message given by the two voluminous rallies of Thessaloniki and Athens last January and February that Macedonia is one and is non-negotiable. "We call on people to participate massively and send their own clear message to the government, by participating in the local rallies holding a Greek flag in the hands. On Wednesday, hundreds of thousands of Greeks in various parts of the country will remind Alexis Tsipras and the government that they must implement the will of the many," said Michalis Patsikas, a member of the" Committee for the Struggle for the Hellenicity of Macedonia," reiterating that in today's protests:"Thre is no place, for extremists and extreme behaviors.
