Ships remain docked due to gale-force winds at the Aegean Sea
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Ships remained docked at several Greek ports on Tuesday, as north-northeasterly winds in the Aegean Sea reached 9 and 10 on the Beaufort scale.
The ban on sailing from Piraeus, Rafina, and Lavrio is still in effect, while the schedules for the Argosaronic Gulf are only carried out by closed-type boats.
Also shut down are the lines of Aghia Marina-Nea Stira, Volos-Sporades Islands, Arkitsa-Edipsos, Kavala-Prinos, Keramoti-Limenas at Thassos, Alexandroupolis-Samothrace.
Authorities are advising passengers planning to travel to contact local port authorities and travel agencies for possible changes in schedules.
