The Greek state and TrainOSE on Thursday signed a new contract worth 750 million euros, covering so-called unproductive lines in the country.
On January 18, the first of the five first-generation trains with the name "White Arrow" brought by TRAINOSE to Greece arrives in Thessaloniki, from Italy. Its first passenger service will take place on the Athens-Thessaloniki route on March 25 on the occasion of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the revolution of 1821. This train is the ETR 470 n. 07 of Trenitalia that was completely reconstructed was painted in the colors of the Greek company and will be the ETR 470 n train. 01 of TRAINOSE.
TRAINOSE's intention to claim tens of millions of euros worth of upgrades to Athens's public transport trains following the completion of its merger with EESSTY, the rolling stock maintenance company, was announced by the company's CEO.
